One of Working Wonders’ key business partners is the experienced and qualified indoor and outdoor activity provider CI Adventures based in Halifax

In the early days, as the Cycle for Work project was being  established by the Community Foundation for Calderdale, a grant was secured from the Halifax Courier Fund to commission CI Adventures to deliver a series of school events over two years. This funding enabled CI Adventures to provide a comprehensive package that included delivery and set up of bikes and turbo trainers (geared for all shapes and sizes of children and young people), and staffing for the day to help the school with recording times, distances etc. Over the two years the school challenges took place in 12 schools benefitting 1,000s of children and young people.

The idea behind the school challenges was for all the students to participate by doing a short stint on a bike/turbo trainer (15/20 mins) and the students collectively to cycle the equivalent of Land’s End to John O’Groats; approximately 1,000 miles.

Working Wonders is very grateful for the grant support of £13,000 from the Halifax Courier  and we are looking to complete our last 3 school challenges which will raise funds for schools and also to support our work with young people.
